To Mr. William Johnson:
Thank you for your generosity and willingness to provide for students like myself the opportunity to study abroad during college through your scholarship. Since starting college, I have dreamed about studying abroad in Europe. I was first introduced to the study abroad program and the university I will be attending through the International Business Organization's Global Analysis Workshops, where I heard a presentation from two students who studied there in a prior semester. Their stories stuck with me and inspired me to keep this dream alive even as travel shutdown due to COVID-19 and we didn't know when opportunities like this would be possible again.
As my Junior year of college started, I didn't know if study abroad would still be a possibility. It felt like I was running out of time, and the academic and financial commitment necessary were beginning to seem unrealistic for me. Through this scholarship, support from my family, and a well-developed academic plan, this study abroad journey to London has been made possible. I am so grateful for this chance to see the world, learn about different cultures and peoples, and grow as a person, student, and young professional.
I'm looking forward to exploring London and immersing myself in the English culture, while also visiting other European countries like Greece, Iceland, Scotland, France, and more. Studying abroad is truly a unique, one-in-a-lifetime experience and I am excited to make the most of my time here on the opposite side of the world. This opportunity truly would not be possible without your support and generosity.

To mom, sissy, and family:
I would not be here without you. Your encouragement and support as I embark on this new journey mean the world to me. While it was a bit of a stressful journey to get here, I would have to say it has been totally worth it. Thank you for everything you do for me. Words cannot express my gratitude. Studying abroad has been a dream that you have all supported since I started college and have continued to encourage me to pursue. I know Dad is smiling down.
